§ Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and reliability practices, including preventive, predictive, corrective and breakdown maintenance, condition monitoring, equipment criticality, failure analysis, maintenance optimisation, and reliability improvement.
§ Strong knowledge of maintenance planning and work management, including work identification, scope development, job planning, work-pack preparation, resource planning, material planning, estimation, prioritisation, and work-order readiness.
§ Proficiency in SAP PM and MM, including maintenance notifications and orders, order life cycle, maintenance plans, task lists, equipment and functional locations, BOMs, reservations, purchase requisitions, service entry sheets, and material master data.
§ Good knowledge of material master data governance, material identification, specification, standardisation, cataloguing, and material control procedures.
§ Good knowledge of mechanical equipment specifications, data sheets, maintenance manuals, P&IDs, engineering drawings, piping isometrics, plot plans, inspection reports, vendor documentation, and technical specifications to support maintenance planning and execution.
§ Good knowledge of applicable mechanical engineering codes, standards, and recommended practices, including ASME, API, ANSI, and other relevant international standards.
§ Ability to develop and review maintenance scopes of work, job plans, repair procedures, technical requisitions, work packages, and contractor service scopes.
§ Good knowledge of shutdown and turnaround planning, including work-list development, scope freeze, resource loading, material readiness, contractor mobilisation, schedule development, progress monitoring, and execution readiness.
§ Ability to coordinate maintenance activities with Operations, Maintenance, Inspection, Reliability, E&I, Projects, Procurement, contractors, and vendors to ensure safe and efficient execution.
§ Good knowledge of contractor and vendor management, including scope development, technical clarification, tender evaluation, contract administration, service verification, and variation control.
§ Good working knowledge of service contract administration, including purchase order management, service entry sheets, invoice validation, expenditure and ceiling tracking, variation control, contract KPI monitoring, and contract close-out.
§ Good working knowledge of maintenance cost estimation, work-order cost planning, budget tracking, cost control, and lifecycle cost considerations.
§ Ability to support technical evaluation of maintenance, repair, replacement, and reliability-improvement solutions and ensure that planned work is technically appropriate and executable.
§ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to review equipment history, maintenance data, failure information, and inspection findings to develop effective maintenance plans and recommendations.
§ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for maintenance planning, cost analysis, reports, dashboards, presentations, and management reporting.
§ Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI or equivalent data-analysis and visualisation tools for maintenance, reliability, cost, and performance analysis.
§ Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent planning tools to support shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance activities.
§ Good understanding of process and mechanical safety requirements, including Permit-to-Work (PTW), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), risk assessment, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined-space entry, lifting and rigging, pressure systems, PPE, and environmental requirements.
§ Strong planning, coordination, communication, prioritisation, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple maintenance workstreams and competing priorities.
§ Ability to provide planning guidance and technical support to engineers, supervisors, technicians, and maintenance personnel and to promote effective maintenance work management practices.
§ Ability to identify opportunities for maintenance optimisation, reliability improvement, standardisation, cost reduction, and improved equipment availability.
